summertime goodness in jasper, it was my first time in Alberta Canada and oh man I was in awe every second of it! I started off my journey in Banff camping, exploring, and doing an engagement session at Bow Lake which was unreal. I loved every second of my time in the national parks.
I got to drive 5 hours through jasper national park where I finally arrived to Lauren + Cody and all their closest friends as they were about to celebrate such a perfect bond!
I wanted to ask Lauren & Cody how they felt through this whole amazing experience having their destination wedding in the mountains of Jasper! & having me as their third wheel!
Heres what they said!
I originally found you through searching hashtags on instagram! I wanted to find someone that was able to shoot real photos and make it feel more like us than a staged photo shoot. After our engagement shoot in Maui we were so in love with all our photos, we felt like they captured us; our goofy, always seem to be laughing side. Having never met and only talking via text, email and a one time phone call I couldn’t believe how easy and natural it felt to be shooting with you. There was no awkward tension, we felt at ease and comfortable around you, which was so huge as my husband is usually slightly socially introverted. Seeing him open up and feel so natural was so awesome for me. For us it just felt like an instant, organic connection with you! So when we found out everything could work out for us to have you share our wedding day in Jasper with you and your family we were so relieved, and beyond excited! We were so happy with our engagement that it is no doubt we are obviously in love with our jasper wedding photos; the natural light, airiness and easy flow and nature of them is incredible.
I also asked Lauren & Cody for any tips for YOU, as you read this for your destination wedding!
I am very glad that I went before saw my options and kind of planned out timing of how long it took to get everywhere. Our locations in Jasper national park were all a bit of a drive so it was nice to know how long we would need to be able to fit in everything we wanted to do and not feel rushed.
The other piece of advice I have is I guess just for people who are maybe on the fence about eloping in a national park. My husband and I come from a small city and large families, we could have easily had 300 people at our wedding, however the more we thought about it the more we wanted a very small, intimate elopement at our dream location in Jasper National Park . It was SO WORTH IT!!!! We had a large party at a later date, and we both were so grateful that we chose to do a day with our closest people. It was so so special and so wonderful to be able to spend lots of quality time with our closest people!!
